UWI Archives to benefit from CHASE FUND

The University of the West Indies Archives located on the Mona Campus will receive a grant of J$2.3 million from the Culture, Health, Arts, Sports and Education Fund (CHASE) to purchase an automatic fire alarm and suppression system. This will protect the archival collections in the custody of the University of the West Indies Archives from fire.  The grant was made by the Arts section of the Fund which has as one of its objective the improvement of libraries, archives and documentation facilities.
